AMANAH AND MASLAHAH SHURA · BOARD
A limit is not only stated; the way it will be protected in life must also be built.
It is not enough to say ‘be careful’ about child safety, privacy, model output, publishing permission, or field risk. The proposed task of the ADAB and SEDD Board is to establish a clear safeguarding order: who may access what, which consent is required, what must not be recorded, when a release must stop, and who carries responsibility.
What is it?
ADAB and SEDD Board
The board is not intended to produce an abstract list of prohibitions. It considers the amanah carried and the real conditions of use, then establishes clear responsibilities and practical safeguards for a programme, tool, or publication.
Preparation status
This page does not announce an appointed board or a decision-making body currently in operation.
No person may be presented as a decision-maker under this name until the board’s competence criteria, members, term of service, record-keeping, and objection procedure have been verified. This page describes the task and limits of the safeguarding process under preparation.
Where does it work?
The same safeguarding principle requires a different practice in each field.
Children and young people
Household consent, age-appropriate access, adult supervision, limits on private messaging, and consent for image and voice are defined.
Data, models, and tools
Sources, authority, privacy, human judgment, error reporting, misuse, and withdrawal paths are established.
Media and publishing
Personal consent, copyright, context, impersonation, language of representation, and the lasting effects of public release are weighed.
Field activity and SAFAR
Place, health, weather, transport, age, guidance, emergency, and local permission conditions are defined.
WAQF and shared use
Rights, permission, scope of use, maintenance ownership, and any withdrawal conditions are completed before a work is opened to others.
When establishing safeguards
The board asks five open questions.
01 What is being protected?
The person, child, family, privacy, data, labour, reputation, body, nature, or other amanah is named clearly.
02 How could harm arise?
The review considers not only normal use but also mistakes, misuse, excessive authority, and unexpected consequences.
03 Who is responsible?
Safeguarding is entrusted to named people with clear authority, not to an invisible system.
04 Which safeguard is needed?
Consent, access, supervision, recording, warning, suspension, or withdrawal conditions are written in a form that can be applied.
05 How will it be followed?
Violation and error reporting, renewed review, time-limited decisions, and paths of correction remain open.
Scope of duty
The ADAB and SEDD Board does not own every decision.
The board establishes safeguards. It refers fiqh judgments to the FIQH and USUL Board, questions of representation quality to the IHSAN Review Circle, and critical disagreements to the Shura.
