Each matter should be weighed by the people who understand it and the people it affects—not by the same standing group.
A youth game and a financial tool cannot be assessed by exactly the same people; neither can a field programme and a dataset. Field Review Circles are proposed as time-limited groups that bring together the producer, relevant professionals, people with field experience, and the people affected when a specific matter arises.
What is it?
Field Review Circles
A circle is not a permanent office or a closed group. It is formed when a matter has been clearly defined, invites the necessary expertise and people affected, records a reasoned review, and may close when its task is complete.
Preparation status
The names of these circles do not indicate an open invitation, an appointed team, or authority already granted.
A circle can be formed only when there is a real matter, verified expertise, relevant people affected, a clear duration, and a recording procedure. This page explains a possible way of working; it does not present a list of active circles.
Example circles
Each field brings its own reality and expertise to the table.
BAI and technology
Software developers, data or model specialists, relevant professionals, users, and a SEDD steward work together.
Kids and Youth
Educators, child-development specialists, household representatives, young participants, and a child-safeguarding steward come together.
NEMA and trade
Entrepreneurs, master practitioners, finance and legal expertise, customers, and people attending to the HAYR impact weigh the matter together.
WAQF and publishing
The producer, rights holder, people affected, licensing and maintenance stewards decide how a work can be opened for service.
Valley and the field
Local people, field guides, health and safety expertise, practitioners, and participants assess the real conditions together.
How is a circle formed?
Authority comes from relevant competence and responsibility, not from title alone.
01 The person bringing the matter
Explains the need and the decision sought, and brings the available information to the circle without concealment.
02 Relevant expertise
Offers knowledge from the relevant profession, scholarly field, or technical practice together with its limits.
03 People directly affected
Bring lived experience and needs that may otherwise remain unseen.
04 Safeguarding and review steward
Connects the matter to SEDD, IHSAN, or the relevant board, and records the reasons and points requiring correction.
The circle’s amanah
A circle does more than meet: it records what it saw, what it does not know, and what it recommends.
The review record names the sources, expertise present, conflicts of interest, views of people affected, reasons for acceptance or correction, and the date of renewed consideration.
